Cheatham stated. "We've had a lot to learn in a short period of time and I certainly want to thank Coach Underwood for his help in the trffil– sition. I learned a lot from him." The Warriors began Fall workouts in shorts on Wednesday, A~gust 6 and put on the pads for the first time the following Saturday. Eighty-one players originally competed for the 63-man roster. One such freshman is Emmanual Taylor, a product of Early County High School in Blakely, Ga., who is projected to be the starting quarter– back. The 6', 170-pound signal caller was selected Player of the Year in addition to receiving All-State and All-Star honors. Taylor had touchdown runs of 65 and 46 yards and connected on 38- and 22- yard passes for scores in the spring game. Cheatham said Taylor "is doing really well. He's got a good arm, runs well and has good knowledge of the game." Taylor's expertise will be put to use in directing the Warriors' new "spread attack" offense. "We're going to be a wide-open
