ECCC Football Warriors Moving On Continuing their athletic careers are these members of the 2007 East Central Community College footb~ll squad. Seated from left are John Bailey of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; who signed with Birmingham Southern University; Frederick Lyons of Decatur, who inked with the University of North Alabama ; and Spencer Spane of Terry, a new addition to the University of Central Arkansas squad. Bailey, a 6-foot, 250-p()und offensive lineman, was a two-year starter at ECCC. He was named honorable mention MACJC AIJ-State his sophomore season. Lyons, a 5-foot-10, 175-pound cornerback, was named honorable men– tion AU-State and All-Star. He was also selected a Grid-Wire Academic All– American. Lyons registered 28 solo tackJes and 18 assists. Spane was selected honorable mention All-State and made the All-Star squad. He had 10 catches for 189 yards. Not pictured is quarterback Deon Williams who signed with the University of West Alabama. Williams was chosen second team All-State and AJI-Star. He completed 52 of 121 passes for 942 yards and nine touchdowns. He also had 40 rushes for 476 yards.
