BOLER SPEAKS TORETIRED EDUCATION PERSON· NEL: Ovid Vickers, left, president of Newton County Retired Education Personnel, is pictured with Tanya Boler, English Instructor at East Central Community Col– lege, who was the guest speaker at the September meet1ng of the NCREP. Boler discussed the ma~y ways that technology 1s used 1n the class roo~. She d1.scussed how 1t is used in recording grades, keep1ng up w1th absentees, testing, posting assignments, on-line courses and many other ways that it is being used today. A large crowd was on hand to hear Boler speak. The NCREP meets the third Thursday of each month. Vickers invites all retirees who have been involved in education in any capacity to join the group for the monthly meeting. The group meets in the ECCC cafeteria.
