Prior to her selection, Thomas served as family nurse practitioner at Neshoba Pediatric Medical Clime in Philadelphia. She is also a for– mer d1rector of nursing for Lowsville Group Homes-Hud– speth Center and served as a home health nurse for ~1agna Home Health m Philadelphia. She holds membership in several profes~ional orgamza– tions, including ~fississ1ppi Nurses Assoc1ation, American Nurses Association, Pul– monary Hypertension Associa– tion and the Gamma Lambda Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau Internat ional Honor Society of Nursing. Thomas S h e received an associate's degree in nurs– ing from ECCC in 1996 and served as president of the Col– lege's ASNEC (Association of Student Nurses) chapter in 1995-96. She earned bachelor and master's degrees in nursing from the University of South– ern Mississippi in 2003 and 2007, respectively. She is married to John A. Thomas and they have a daughter, Alexandria, and a son, Adam.
