Emmons

Emmons recently signed a three-year writer·s con– tract with Heartland Pub– lishing in Nashville. Her honors include win– ning the top prize in the National Quartet Talent Search in 2001 with an orig– inal.song titled, "IThink It's Raining." She performed two selec– tions at the Gospel Prayer Breakfast, "'Old Gospel Medlev" and "I Still Believe." An ECCC graduate, Emmons holds bachelor and master's degrees in music fromMississippi Col·

lege. She serves as keyboard instructor at ECCC and pro– vides accompaniment for the College's Concert Choi..L: She is mru-ried to Joev Emmons and has a daugli– ter: Tallie Johnston. Emmons is the daughter of the Rev. Larry and Pequi· ta DW1can of Lake. She has been writing Southern Gospel and Contemporary music for many years and has had more than 30 songs published. Six of her songs werE- recorded by major ruiists and two of her selec– tions were chartered nationally.
