ECCC squads sweep Holmes; Both squads improve to 2~

East Central Community College took a pair of contests from visiting Holmes Community College Moqday night, as the Lady Warriors cruised to an easy 95-77 thumping of the Lady Bulldogs and the Warriors held on for a 63-52 decision over the Holmes men. Mystee Dale, a sophomore from Choctaw Central, poured in 18 points to lead the defending Region 23 champs, who improved to 2-0 under fourth-year head coach Bill Smith. Also scoring were Rashima Jenkins, of Arline High School in Bossier City La 16; Alisha McAfee of "orth -~ ankiri:-1:?;-,~"nc un Spates of Sr. Thomas More HS. Lafayette. La.. 11: Yolanda Jones of Lake, .10; Allison Phillips of Leake Academy, eight; Danielle Cole of Philadephia, seven; Katherine Taylor of Carthage, five; and Sha Coleman of Newton County, Lanie Triplett of Scott Central, Han– nah Lee of Leake Academy and Alisha Griffm of Kemper County, two each. Tiffaney Haynes of Sallis had 28 points - include eight treys- to lead the Lady Bulldogs in their season opener. The Lady Warriors held a 46-30 advantage at the break.
