ECCC Lady Warriors begin NJCAA tourney action today against Southeastern Illinois Special to the Record

NJCAA Division 1 Women's Basketball National Champi– onship at Salina, Kansas. The No. 13 seed Lady War– riors, who are 22-6 overall under third-year head coach Bill Smith, will battle the fourth– seeded Lady Falcons, who sport an overall 31-2 record, at 2 p.m. in the Bicentennial Center. Southeastern, the Region 24 champion, was ranked sixth in

the NJCAA poll following regu– lar season action. East Central was rated as high as 11th during the 2007-08 campaign but was not ranked in the fmal poll. · The ECCC/ Southeastern win– ner will meet the winner of the Barton County/ Shelton State contest at 8 p.m. Thursday. Los– ers of both games will battle at 2 p.m. Thursday. Barton County,
