Lady Warriors drop four out of six By Marty Stamper Appeal Sports Editor The East Central Com– munity College Lady Warriors split doubleheaders with Jones and Ttawamba before losing a pair at Pearl River in last week's fastpitch action. The Lady Warriors are off until March 18 when they host Hinds in their MACJC Central Division opener. EC 1-2 Jones 0-10 The Lady Warriors took the March 4 opener at Ellisville behind the shutout pitching of Codee Russell, who tossed a five-hit com– plete game. The game's only tun came in the fifth when Laura Smith singled and scored on a single by Leah Dennis. Smith had two singles for EC. Haley Chipley had a double. Sondreia Hillie and Dennis added singles. Candi Farris singled twice for JCJC, while Jol~e Belflower had a double. Kacy Stewart wok the tough luck loss for the Lady Bobcats. In the nightcap, Katie Holifield improved to 4-0 with a four-hitter. She struck out four.
