Shackelford is a graduate of Umon High School and the son of Rick and Carol Shackelford of Union. A ational Dean's List Scholar, he was ~elected to Who's Who Among American Community/JuniorCollege Student~. He serves as prcstdent of Alpha Alpha Epsilon and Mu Alpha Theta and is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and the Presidents Council. Shackelford received the Shelby Harris ~1cmonal Scholarship and the Andy Miller Memorial Scholarship.
