ECCC golfers compete in MCCtourney Community College's golf team posted a 299 team score and is in first place after day one of the MCC/Rush Fall Invitational at Briarwood Country Club at Meridian Monday. Gulf Coast was second at Meridian MCC White team is fourth at 322 with Pearl River in fifth at 323. MCC freshman Bryant Self leads all competitors at even-par. 72. Two other Eagles are in the top-five following round one. Sophomore Dustin Petit and freshman Joshua Ivy turned in a 2-over-par 74 to pace the MCC Green team's first– round score. Petit and Ivy are tied for second with East Central golfer, Paul McMillin of Louisville who also fired a 74. Also for the Warriors of East Central, Alex Deason shot a 78. Jess DiUey offorest fired an 81, and Tommy Harthcock of Newton and Cody Bryan both shot 86. Blake Hedrick of Newton shot a 97 competing as an indivtdual. 311, 'while East Central was third at 319.
