East Central had first posses– sion in the extra period but its drive from the 25 yard-line stalled at the 11, setting up a 28- yard field goal attempt by Grey LaPrade of Forest, which sailed wide right. The Warriors dropped to 1-2 overall and o-1 in division play following the loss, while the Bob– cats - who were ranked 14th in the latest NJCAA poll - improved to 3-0 and 1-0. East Central scored first in the division rivalry when running back Roosevelt Ross of Ocala, Fla., crossed the goal line on a one-yard plunge with 10:49 left before halftime. LaPrade added the PAT. Key plays during the 1Q-play, 73-yard march included a 13-yard completion from quarter back JONES 13 ECCC which gave EC possession on the Jones seven-yard-line. The scor– ing drive was set up when free safety Kenny Ingram of Orlando recovered a Bobcat fumble on theEC27. The Bobcats tied the contest two possessions later on a 52- yard pass play from quarterback Caleb Callahan of Varnell, Ga., to wide receiver TeAndre Brown of Atlanta. Brandan Sellers of Shubuta added the PAT. The score remained 7-7 at half– time.
