ECCC Hires New Football Coach; Promotes Another East Central Community

College in Decatur has addeda football coach and promoteda part-time staff member to full. time status, announced athletic director/head football coach Terry Underwood. Joining theWarrior staff as assistant football coach is Glen Elarbee who previously served on staffs atMiddleTennessee State University inMurfreesboro and Texas A&MCommerce in Commerce, Texas. Elarbee coached tight ends at MiddleTennessee last fall and served as offensive line coach at Texas A&M Commerceduring the 200'5 spring semester. He began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at MiddleTennessee dur– ing the~ tenn. The new Warrior assistant holds bachelor and master's degrees trom Middle'IVnnessee Stare University. where he was also a member of the football team. He is a native of Carrollton, Ga . James Miller. who joined the ~ Warrior staff in the springof 2005 as a part-timE' assistant, is now a full-time member of Underwood's staff. Miller will continue to coach linebackers and work •Nith special teams. Prior to joining the ECCC staft Miller was a three-year starter at linebacker at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, La., where he was twice named to the All.SOuthland Conferenr.c Team
