EAST POUNCEY JOINS ECCC BOARD: Ken Pouncey (center) of Decatur was recently welcomed to the East Central Community College Board of Trustees. Pouncey previ– ously served on the Board from 1983-85 and from 1988-89, during hrs term as Newton County Superintendent of Educa– tion. He led the Warrior football program from 1966-1982, winning three

: division titles during his 15-year tenure. He also successfully led football programs on the high school level. Pouncey is a former assistant principal at Bay Springs High School and served as Supt. of Education for the Enterprise School District from 1994 to 2001, when he retired from public education. He is a graduate of Enterprise High School, Jones County Junior College, University of Southern Mississippi, where he received a bachelor's degree in health and physical education, and the University of West Alabama, where he received a master's degree in school administration. He and his wife, Alice, a former ECCC faculty member, have three grown children, Alicia, Amy and Nick, and four grandchildren
