Arkansas Hurler Joins ECCC Diamond Warriors Sean Thompson, a former baseball standout at Junction City High School in Junction City, Ark., has signed a national letter of intent with East Central Community College in Decatur, Miss. Thompson, a 6', 160-pound right– handed pitcher/infielder, went 14-3 on the mound in 2005 with a 2.75 earned run average and~ed Junction City to the state semi-finals. His post-season honors include lieing named to the All-Region, All-State, All-District and All-Star teams. Thompson posted a 9-2 record in 2004 with a 2.38 ERA and helped lead Junction City to the 2004 state championship and a 28-9 overall record. He also batted .361 with two home runs, two triples, I0 doubles and 3 I RBls. He received his team's most valuable player award and was presented MVP honors in the OutlawClassic in Dierks, Ark., and theArkansas State AA Championship.
