EAST CENTRALCOMMUNITY COLLEGE RECEIVES LAND SCHOLARSHIP: Heather Blackwell (center), a 2005 graduate of Newton County High School, IS the recipient of the James E. Land Memonal Scholarship to attend East Central Community College in Decatur. The scholarship_ was established in 2003 by Dr. Harold Aycock (right) in memory of James E. Land, a longtime professional educator, photographer and supporter of East Central. Rep· resenting the family is Land's sister, Martha Kate Phillips. The award was presented during the College's annual Bell South Scholarship Appreciation Luncheon held Thursday, May 28, in Mabry Memorial Cafeteria. --
