PHOTO SUBMITT£0 GERONTOLOGY SCHOLARSHIPS Doris Henson, left, and Shelia Jackson, center, recently received the Heart and Hand Gerontology Scholarships at East Central Community College in Decatur. The scholarships were established in 1999 by Heart and Hand, a nonprofit organization that promotes programs and services for senior citizens. Henson received the Elberta C. Phillips Gerontology Scholarship and Jackson received the Jane R. Holbrook Gerontology Scholarship. Pictured with the recipients is Christi Lee, ECCC recruiter/Tech Prep Career Center director. Not pictured is Doreen Stroud who received the Heart and Hand Endowed Scholarship. The awards were presented during the College's annual Bell South Scholarship Appreciation Luncheon.
