Three from ECCC BSU participate in summer • • • m1ss1onanes Spedal co The.Record Jessica Sheehan, John Walton and Joseph Carl– ton are three of 164 col· lege students selected statewide to serve as sum– mer missionaries in vari– ous parts of America and around the world. With funds provided by the Baptist Student Union, most students serve an eight to 10 week term alongside career mission– aries. Fifty of the students selected will serve in nine foreign countries while 114 will work in 25 states and Canada. Sheehan, a student at East Central Community College, will be serving as a missionary in Wyoming and is the daughter of Ricky and Jackie Sheehan of Little Rock. Walton, also an ECCC student, is the son of Ron– nie and Jeanne Walton of Decatur and will serve in Texas.

Joseph Carlton

Mississippi College Stu– dent Charlton will serve in Florida and is the son of Jack and Mary Charl– ton of Little Rock. The Baptist Student Union is sponsored by the Collegiate Ministry Department of the Missis– sippi Baptist Convention Board.
