Marley Smith leads the LadyWarriors on the mound with a perfect 15-0 mark to go with a 1.04 ERA: In 94 innings, she has 80 stn~eouts and only 15 walks. Lmdsey Smith is 8-2 with a 2.92 ERA. Walker is 4-0. "We've got to get the same kind of performances on the mound that we've had throughout the season," Hill said. "If we get those per– formances, then defensively, we've got to make the plays behind our pitcher. "If we can do those two things and get some good clutch hitting, I think that we can be successful here," Hill added. "We're going to have opportunities to drive 'l: run in here or there. The dtffer– ence is whether you get that big hit or not." Co-Lin was ranked No. 5 nationally in the NJCAA Divi– sion n poll entering this week. Gulf Coast and North– west received votes, but ECCC did not. "Hopefully, we can con– tinue to sneak up on folks," Hill said. "That's something for us to shoot for. Maybe we can end in the poll, and that's where you want to look at a poll."

Freshman left fielder Allison McDaniel (.333) and freshman pitcher Lindsey Smith played on Neshoba Central's 2004 qass 4A state runner-up team. Freshman second baseman Abby Miller (.330, 21 RBls, 10 SB) played on Madison Central's 2004 Class SA state runner-up team. Freshman shortstop April Boyd (.403, 13 RBls, 18 SB) played on a slow-pitch state championship team at Adams County Christian School, as did freshman pitcher Lindsay Walker (.250), sophomore pitcher Marley Smith (.458, 17 RBls) and freshman first baseman Lauren White (.311, 17 RBls) at Union.
