Tucker gets full -time position at ECCC

After serving the past two years as adjunct speech instructor at East Cen– tral Community College in Decatur, Stan Tucker has been named to the position on a full-time basis, announced ECCC President Dr. Phil A. Sutphin. Tucker, who resides in Philadel– phia, will also serve as theatre instruc– tor and is responsible for directing the annual fall dinner theatre and pring musical productions at the College. A native of Philadelphia, Tucker is a former adjunct instructor in the Speech and Theatre Department at Hinds Community College and served as instructor/director of theatre in the Communication Department at Mis– sissippi College. His experience in theatre also includes serving as pro– ducing artistic director for a Christian theatrical touring group in Jackson. Tucker began his career as a writer/editor/photographer for the Simpson County News in Menden– hall. In addition to his teaching duties at ECCC. Tucker .erves as pastor of Snr n_;f1eid Bapti t Church in

Carthage. He is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, INhere he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in theatre and a Master ofArts degree in theatre. He is married to the former Gail Edwards of Philadelphia. Tucker officially begins his full · time duties at East Central on Augus I.
