During her spare time, she enjoys reading, walk– ing and watching movies. Agraduate of Carthage High School. Bush received an associate's degree from ECJC. While attending East Central, she was a member of the women's basketball team coach by Miss Lucille Wood. She received a bachelor's degree from Mississippi State College for Women. a master's degree from Mississippi State University, and com· pleted additional graduate work at Mississippi Col– lege and Delta State Uni– versity. · She has two sons, 'Ibdd Bush and Ken Bush. Todd is stationed at Ramstein Air Force Base in Ger· man)' and Ken is em– ployed at a ski resmi in Mammoth Mountain, CA. Bush, who will be bon· ored \\ith other retirees at the College' end-of-the– year dinner m Mav e:x-pressed apprec~tion to her ECCC colleagues: ·'I would just like to thank everyone for the opportunity to have worked at one of the best community colleges in the state. It has been a great experience for me."

Bush. who also teaches Intermediate Algebra and Human Growth and Development as part of the College's evening class schedule, has served 33 years in the field of education. Prior to beginning her employment at ECCC. Bush was Tech Prep Coor· dmator and Counselor at Mississippi Delta Conunu· nity College in Moorhead. She has also worked at several secondary schools as a high school counselor and mathematics teacher. Bash said working with students has brought her the most enjoyment. "I love working with students. Without a doubt, we have the greate~t group of students am·– where," she stated. What's been her biggest challenge? "Counseling sessions with studenl<;. She added. "I will not miss the tears and frus– trations that studentS have when they have not been accepted into one of our programs.
