New members of East Central Community 1 College's Theta Xi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the International honor society for twcryear colleges, were welcomed during the fall 2004 induction ceremony held on the Decatur cam– pus. Membership in Phi Theta Kappa is by invi– tation only, with inductees required to have a minimum 3.5 grade point average earned as a full-time student in addition to having an over– all 3.5 GPA. Area students joining the elite group include (from left) Matthew Lamar Reynolds of Noxapater and Anthony Stanford of Louisville. Reynolds is a graduate of Winston Academy and Stanford Is a product of Louisville High School. ECCC fac– ulty members Debbie Boyd of Meridian and Sylvia Wright of Louisville serve as Theta Xi advisers.
