Attend PTK Honors Conference - These officers representing East Central Community College's Theta Xi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for two-year colleges, recently attended a regional mini-honors conference 1!/M.i~ held at Delta State University. Selected as the theme for the 2004-05 honors study topic is Popular Culture: Shaping and Reflecting Who We Are. Students from Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana particip ated in the six-day meeting, where they discussed ways to incorporate this year's honor study topic with chapter projects. Participants were also encouraged to become involved in pop culture and learn how it shapes students' lives.
