EC women keep winning

The Ea:.t Central Comm– unity College Lady Warriors improved to 12-2 overall and 3-I in the MACJC South Division with wins over Southwest Mississippi and Meridian last week The Lady Warriors are ranked 23rd nationally in the NJCAA poll. . The EC men lost both games to fall to 5-8. • EC 73, Southwest 49: Lenore Gray scored 16 points as the LadyWarriors crushed Southwest on Jan. 12 at Summit.

EC also got 12 points from Kristen Chaney, nine from Kimyatta Viverette, and six each from Rita Birden and Roxana Rogers. EC led by only eight (33- 25) at halftime. • EC 78, Meridian 60: Gray scored 21 points to lead the Lady Warriors to Thurs– day's win at Decatur. Birden had 16 points, Viverette and Ebone'e Leverette both had nine, and Chaney and Kotreece Bender both had seven. EC led 38-29 at halftime.
