Ealy Receives MACS Scholarship East Central Community College sophomore Amy Ealy (center) ofForest is the 2004-05 recipient of a S600 scholarship presented by the Mississippi Association ofCoJiege Stores, Inc. The psychology major is shown receiving the scholarship from Michaelle Smith, ECCC bookstore manager, while Joe Killens, Vice Presid~t for Student Services, looks on. The annual award is based on academic m~rit and financial need. Scholarship applicants were also required to submit an essay highlighting school activities, academic awards or honors, and community activities. A Dean's List scholar, Ealy is involved in various activities at ECCC, including Warrior Corps, BSU, Gospel Choir and the Wallo· Sound Marching Band. She also serves as sophomore class secretary and was recently chosen a sophomoremaid on the 2004 Homecoming Court. She was also selected a freshman maid. She was valedictorian of her 2002 graduating class at Forest High School and was also named to the Hall of Fame. among other various honors. She is the daughter of Alexander and Willie Ealy ofForest.
