EAST CENTRAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE RECEIVES LAND SCHOLARSHIP: Micah Lanier (left), a 2004 graduate of Newton County H1gh School, is the recipient of the James E Land Memorial Scholar$hip to attend ~ast Central Community College in Decatur. The scholarship was established in 2003 by Dr. Harold Aycock in memory of James E. Land, a longtime professional educator, phot~gr~pher and supporter of East Central. Representing the fam1ly 1s Land s son, Larry Land. The award was presented during the College s annual Scholarship Awards Luncheon held Friday, May 28, in Mabry Memorial Cafeteria.
