hand. When he decided to begin his own business of making sound equipment back in 1964, no one believed he could do it. "I suffered from the "Bumblebee effect," " Peavey said. "The bumble– bee's wings are too small to support its body - it can't fly - but the bee does– n't know that. Everyone told me it was impossible, but I was just stupid enough to believe it was possible." Peavey said most days he worked from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m., and he worked 7 days a week. "There was a time when my company competed with other companies," Peavey said. "Now we compete with the world. We can't beat them, so we have to be smarter: That's the challenge- and it's one heck of a challenge." However.
