ECCC Softball Award Winners Members of the East Central Community College fast-pitch softball team who received honors following the 2004 season are (seated from left) Krissi Harris, Lady Warrior Award and Team Captain Award, and Kristin Chaney, Most Valuable Player, both from ! ewton County High School; and (standing) Jhaun Spamecht of Philadelphia, Most Valuable Offensive Player; and Obreisha Davis of Newton County and Marley Smith of Union, who were selected Most Valuable Defensive Players. Harris was also chosen first-team All-State and second-team All-Division; Chaney was selected first-team All-State and All-Division and was nominated for All-American APPEARE honors; Spamecht was named second-team All-Division; and Smith was selected first– team All-State and All-Division. The Lady Warriors completed their season with a 26- 16 record and were runner-up in the Central Division with an 11-5 mark. ECCC quali– LAKE ME fied for the MACJC/Region 23 Tournament where the Lady Warriors feB to host Northeast ~fississippi (5-0) and Pearl Riar (7-5) in the double-elimination event at SCOTT C Booneville.
