Townsend inks with .;..._-- UWA East Central Community College slugger Jacob Town– send of Philadelphia has signed a national letter of intent with the University of West Alabama in Livingston. Tov."nSend, a 6-foot, 215- pound catch– er I first base– man, batted .294 for the Diamond Warriors in 2004 with 13 1.3...-__,.E---~ home runs and Jacob 35 RBis. He Townsend received All- Region 23 and All-State honors following season action and was named the team's most valuable offensive player. He is a former standout at Neshoba Central High School.
