ECCC Soccer Warriors Defeat East Mississippi 4-1 Kyle Vowell of

Vowell's first goal gave EC a 3-0 lead at the break. Robbie Greco ofNew Hope put East Mississippi on the scoreboard during lhe second half, trimming the Soccer Warriors' lead to 3-1. Vowell's second goal extended East Central's advantage to 4-1 and put the match out of reach for the visit– ing Lions. East Central travels to Mississippi Delta Community College on Tuesday, August 3 I and will again be on the road Friday, September 3 at ltawamba Community College. The Soccer Warriors host Holmes Community College at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 8.

Philadelphia scored two goals and led East Central Community College's soccer team to a 4-1 win over visiting East Mississippi Community College Saturday in the season opener forboth teams. Vowell, a product of Neshoba Central High School, scored his first goal late in the first half and added his second tally dur– ing second-half action. David Prewitt ofClarkdale gave East Central a 1-0 lead early in the contest. A goaJ by Taylor Nichols, a product of Newton County High School, extended the Warriors' lead to 2-0 midway through the period.
