Four members of the 2004 East Central Community College football team signed scholarships with four-year college~:> and univer– sities during a ceremony held Wednesday morning at the Brackeen-Wood Physical Educatton Building on the Decatur campus. At the top of the early signee list, whtch includes players who qualified for December gradua– tion, is defensive standout Henry Smith of Aliceville, Ala., who signed with Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. Smith, a 6-3, 300-pound defensive hneman, was named to the honorable men– tion All-State squad following the 2004 campaign, during which he had 27 tackles, 15 assists, three quarterback sacks and one blocked field goal. lie is a product of Aliceville (Ala.)
