A fumble recovery at the EC 40 by Arsenio Moss set up Northwest's second touchdown. Jackson carried the final yard of the six-play drive, rac– ing around right end on a toss sweep to score with 10:36 remaining in the second quarter. Kuffuor's two-point con– version pass to Jackson gave the Rangers a 14-0 lead. The Rangers' drive was aided by two personal foul penalties against theWarriors. EC cut the Rangers' lead to 14-3 with less than two min– utes remaining in the first half on a 29-yard field goal by McMillin. The Warriors travel to Fulton Thursday to take on Itawamba at 7 p.m. The Indians lost 46-23 to defending state champion Pearl River in their season opener, allowing •Pearl River quarterback Jimmy Oliver a school-record 478 passing yards in only three quarters of action.
