DECATU R --Ch ris Boone has been named defensive coordinator at East Central Community College in Decatur, an– nounced Terry Underwood, athletic direc– tor/head foot·ball coach . Underwood said Boone is a "great addition'' to his s taff. "Coach Boone brings a lot of coaching experience to East Central, and -he _has worked with many ·outstanding coaches. He is also a qual– tty person and we look for– ward to working with him," Underwood said. Boone, who will also coach defensive backs and special teams for the War– riors, comes to East Cen– tral from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, La., where he served as linebacker coach for the past two ~ears Boone ---···s ppeara ce r. :. t: Southland Conterence wle game in 2003, and the 2002 squad had its first winning season since 1996 with a 7-4 mark.
