Author and retired Ea:,t Central Community College English instructor Ovid Vickers of Decatur is thb year's recipient of the Doster Award. the highe~t honor presented by the Two-Year College English Associauon-Southeast (TYCA– SE). a regional affiliate of the l\atJOnal Council of Teachers of Engli<,h. Vickers will receive the award at the organization's 2004 conference cheduled February 26-29 at the Huntsville (Ala.) Marnott. A reception will also be held in Vickers' honor beginning at 3:30
