Young inks with ECCC Former South Leake High School basketball standout Tierra Young,. left, recently signed a national letter of intent with East Central Community College. Young, a 5'7" guard averaged 23.7 points and eight rebounds at SLHS during the 2003-04 campaign. Also, she was a first-team All-State selection and was chosen District as 6-lA Player of the Year during final season at SLHS. At SLHS, she was selected the Lady Wildcats' most valuable player in addi– tion to receiving the team's best rebounder award and .. posting the team's best free throw shooting percentage. She was selected for the Mississippi-Alabama All-Star bas– ketball game. She was joined at her signing by her father, Larry Young, as well ECCC head coach Brad Hodge.
