ECCC coach honored with Region, State awards ... East Central Community College women's basketball coach Brad Hodge has been named Region 23 and MACJC Coach of the Year after leading the Lady Warriors to the Division, State and Region 23 titles and earning EC a berth in the 2004 NJCAA Division 1 Women's Basketball Championship in Salina, Kansas. The Lady Warriors went 2·2 in the week-long tournament and finished as run– ners-up in the consolation bracket. The ECCC women completed the 2003-04 campaign with a remarkable record of 31 ·4. Hodge is completing his third season as head coach at ECCC, where he served the previous two years as an assistant for the Lady War– rior and Warrior programs. He is also a former assistant at Northeast Louisiana University and Athens State College. He is married to the former Alida Jones of Decatur, Ala., who serves as a counselor and assistant softball coach at Nashoba Central High School.
