A week after winnmg the state title, East Central Community College's Lady Warriors added another crown to their champi– onship season by posting a 52-45 decision over Copiah-Lincoln Community College in the Region 23 Tournament finals held at Mississtppi College in Clinton. With the win. the Lady Warriors, who improved 29-2 under third-year head coach Brad Hodge, became the first women's basketball team in school history to capture state and region titles in the same season and just the second EC team to accomplish the feat. The 1952-53 Warrior basketball squad won the state and region titles and firushed fourth m the NJCAA Tournament. East Central will now set its sights on a national title by com peting in the NJCAA Women's
