EC sweeps Co-Lin; women beat Jones East Central Community College's nationally-ranked Lady Warriors

• EC women 80, Jones 54: The Lady Warriors crushed Jones Thursday at Decatur to improve to 22-2 overall and 12-1 in league play. \ EC led 38-29 at halftime, scored the first four points of the second half, and maintained a double-digit lead the rest of the night. Rita Birden led the Lady Warriors with 13 points. Lenore Gray had 10, Kristin Chaney nine, Ebone'e Levet:ette, Britney Burks, and Kim Cox each had eight, Monique Overstreet and Kotreece Bender both had five, and Kilnyatta Viverette and Miranda Rosar both had four. Jones fell to 12-11 and 7-6. • Jones 95, EC men 64: The Bobcats rolled past EC in Thursday's game at Decatur. Jones led 40-29 at halftime. EC got 27 points from Dewayne Hughes, eight from Neil Tadlock, and six from Tawon Walker in the loss. EC fell to 10-13 overall and 5-8 in league play. Jones improved to 19-4 and 10-3.
