McAdory receives ECCC scholarships East Central Community College sophomore April McAdory (left) of Neshoba Central was recently awarded the Ann H. Burkes Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship and the Leon Eubanks Kaljyc-Peers Scholarship at East Central Community College in Decatur. The Burkes Scholar– ship was established in 1999 to honor the ·life and works of Ann Hunter Burkes, former librarian and Phi Theta Kappa sponsor. It is awarded to a member of Theta Xi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa. The Leon Eubanks Kaljyc-Peers Scholarship was established by Mr. Eubanks and is presented to the newly elected Student Body Asso– :::iation President.
