Receives Thomas scholarship Mandy Eakes, a 2002 graduate of Philadelphia High School, is this year's recipient of the Charles and Judy Dowdle Thomas Scholarship to attend East Central Community College in Decatur. The outstand– ing student is shown with Mr. and Mrs. Thomas following the Col– lege's annual Scholarship Awards Luncheon. The Thomas family established the scholarship in 1997 for a graduate of Philadelphia High School.
