EC Chapter honored East Central Community College's Theta Xi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the inter– national honor society for two-year col– leges, was recognized as one of the Society's top 100 chapters at the organiza– tion's 2002 international convention held r ecently in Nashville, TN. EC President Dr. Phil A. Sutphin was also honored at the swards ceremony and was among recipi– E§nts of the Shirley B. Gordon Award of

Dis tinction. In addition, sophomore Lana Rogers of Walnut Grove was presented the George 0 Bierkoe Distinguished Member Awa rd and the Distinguished Regional Officer Award.
