ECCC's Ac'cents slated for banquet The 40th annual membership meeting of the Leake County Chamber of Commerce and Industrial Development Association will be held Thursday, April 25, at Carthage Elementary School on Highway 16W. The meeting will begin with a catered reception and entertainment at 6:15 p.m., Followed by a prime rib dinner at 7 pm. Entertainment will be provided by the Ac'cents from East Central Community College under the direction of Mrs. Vicki Blaylock. Members of this 12-member team ore Caleb Cook, Jeff Pates, Ricardo Robinson, Matthew Smith, Domien Wash, Carl Wilson, Jennifer Cuchens, Jessica Fakes, Latecia Horne, Alexia Norris, Tori Tijerina and Shanna Travis. David Weber, president of the Chamber, and Jeff Webb, president of the Leake County Industrial Development AssociationJ will make reports to the membership on th~ accomplishments of the organizations this post year. Man of the Year, Woman of the Year and Farm Family of the Year will be recognized. Brian Gomillion will receive the gavel to become the 52nd president of the Chamber. Jeffrey Jones serves as chairman of the annual meeting committee. Tickets For $20 each ore available from members of the board of directors or from the Chamber office.

ECCC Ac'cents to hold auditions on May 2-3 The Ac'cents, ECCC's show choir, will hold open auditions for the fall semester from 1 to 5 p.m. May 2-3 in the Ovid S. Vickers Fine Arts Center Auditorium. Those auditioning must submit two letters of recom– mendation and must perform a prepared solo.
