Receive ECCC Football Team Awards These East Central Community College football players received various team honors at the annual Fall Sports Banquet held in Mabry Memorial Cafeteria on the Decatur campus. Seated from left are linebacker Travares Osley of Hueytown, Ala., most valuable player; strong safety John Hope of Tuscaloosa (Ala.) County, Warrior Award; cornerback Pete McBride of Forest, Kemba Bryant Most Valuable Defensive Back Award ; and quarterback Kevin Stephens, a product of Charles Henderson High School in Troy, Ala., offensive team captain award. Standing from left are offensive guard Demarcus Granger of Tuscaloosa (Ala.) County, most valuable offensive lineman; offen– sive tackle Marcel Binion of Tuscaloosa (Ala.) Central, Warrior Award ; defensive end Ken Triplett of Louisville, most valuable defensive lineman; running back Ramon Williams of Daphne, Ala., most valuable offensive back; and fullback Wesley Wright of Winston Academy, Academic Award. Dr. Phil A. Sutphin, ECCC president, and foot– ball poaches Terry Underwood (head), Tim Coats, Steve Cheatham, Fred Lyons, Tommy Clopton and DeMarcus Hqlrtles, presented the awards. East Central completed season action with a 3-6 overall record and finished third In \he South Division with a 3-3 mark.
