Decatur. former East Central Community College head libsarian and Phi Theta Kappa co-adviser, was presented the Shelby Harris Alumni Award. She received the honor during the spring semester induction ceremony for members of the college'sTheta Xi Chapter of the International Honor Society. Burkes retired last year fol- lowing 32 years of service at ECCC.
