Coming into Thursday's show– down the Bulldogs held a 4-2 advantage in the 9eason series, rncludtng defeatrng the Warriors rn ~ne finals of the state tournament last weekend However, East Central had the last laugh Thursday.

DECATUR - The East Cen – tral Community College Board of Trustees Tuesday offtcially approved head football coach Terry Underwood to be the new Athletics Drrector Underwood • will succeed outgoing women's basketball coach Sammy Pace who retired last week after suc1 cessfully leading the program for 16 years. Pace's resignation was accepted by the board on Tuesday, as well. Pace's resig nation is effective June 30, 2001 Underwood will continue his football coaching duties. He has led the Warnor gridiron program for three years, arriving as the assistant in 1995 under then-coach Willre Coats.
