College memories as he retires at the end of the spring term. Clark has been at East Cen tral since 1969 when ·his good friend Al Deaton, who he has known since they were students and neighbors at Mississippi State University, took him to the College's new vocational-technical center to show him the machine shop teclu1ology lab. Clar~ who was working at U.S. Electrical Motors in Philadelphia at the time, said they went over on a Sunday afternoon and a few days later O.L. Newell, former director of the vocational– technical division of the col– lege, called and asked if he would like to interview for
