ECCC hosts FBLA meet Approximately 800 stu– dents representing 37 high schools and vocational– technical centers will con– verge oo the East Central Community College campus in Decatur oo Feb. 14 when the Mississippi Chapter of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) holds its Central District Leader– ship Conference. The annual contest is held to measure students' abilities in various areas of technology and business– related skills, said Brends Johnson, ECCC computer technology instructor who serves as chairman of this year's event. Approximately 800 stu– dents representing 37 high schools and vocational-tech– nical centers will converge on the East Central Colll{Ilunity College campus in Decatur February 14 when the Mississippi Chapter of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) holds its Central District Leadership conference. The annual contest is held to measure students' abilities in various areas of technolo– gy and business-related skills, said Brenda Johnson, ECCe computer technology instructor who serves as chairman of this year's event. Among areas of competi– tion include accounting, business communication, business procedures, com– puter concepts, entrepre– neurship, marketing, net– working concepts, desktop publishing, speaking, job interview, business, econom– ics and parliamentary proce– dure. an awards ceremony at 2:30 p.m. in Huff auditorium concludes the day's activities and follows a concert by the collegians, the college's vocal-instrumental po group.
