Burkes Inks With ECCC Scott Central High School sJondout basketball player Britney Burks is shown signing a notional letter of intent to continue her athletic career: at East Central Commun·')' College in Decatur. Burks, a 5-7 guard, overqged 22 points and seven rebounds per game this post season for the lddy Rebels. She scored over 2,400 points during her career at Scott Central and is recognized as the team's all-time leading scorer. Among honors received include her selection on the Mississippi Association of Coaches All ·State teams for three seasons. She was named on the Mississippi High School Activities Association's All-State squad following the 2001-2002 campaign. In addition, she was named All-District on four occasions. She was select– ed to participate in the 2002 Mississippi North/South All-Star game sch&:l– uled in July.
