SYKES IXKS ;·. ITH ECCC- Newton High School baseball standout Stephan· Sykes IS shown signing a national letter of intent to continue his athletic career at East Central ~o~unit} C~llege in Decatur. Sykes, a 5-11, 157-pound mflelder/outfielder, batted .368 during the Tigers' 2001 campaign. In recognition of his outstanding season, Sykes was named to the All-District squad. In addition, he has twice received the team s hustle award.
