East Central Community College sophomores (from left) Brent Sutphin of Decatur, Tina Mize of Hickory and Christopher Bankston of Union were recently inducted into the College's Theta Xi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for two-year colleges. Membership in the prestigious organization is b} invitation only. To qualify, students must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average on 12 semester hours of coursework. An overall GPA of 3.5 is also required for membership. Dr. Shelby Harris and Christy Ferguson serve as advisors. (EC Photo) t
