ECCC Soccer Awards

Above are recipients of team honors presented at the 2000 Soccer Awards Banquet at East Central Communrty College Award winners and their respective high schools include, seated from left, for– v.ard M1chae Cra1g of Morton, team captain and best offensive player (six goals; two assists); mid– ftelder Braden Land of Corinth, Warrior Award; and keeper Derek Dunn of Neshoba Central, most 1mproved. Standing from left are defender Bobby Gibson of Clarkdale, best defensive player; defend– erlmldflelder Dwight Brannon of Newton County, Warrior Scholar Athlete Award; defender Tim Stew– art of Sebastopol, hustle award; and midfielder Gardito Ruiz of Warren Central , most valuable play– er seven goals; three assists) . The soccer team finished with a 4-15 overall record and a 4-11 mark m MACJC competition. East Central was 3-7 in the South Division for a fourth-place finish.
